How rerolls work
At Castle Lemongrab you spend one Trait Crystal to reroll a hero's passive trait. The new result replaces the old one; the same trait can appear again. Units of Juice are also part of the cost, but the amount per reroll is not published.
The odds below come from a single captured interface, not from an official drop-rate page or a large sample.
All 11 traits and their odds
| Trait | Effect | Listed chance |
|---|---|---|
| Sharp | +8% damage | 18% |
| Stretchy | +8% range | 18% |
| Quick | +8% attack speed | 18% |
| Thrifty | Placement costs 12% less | 12% |
| Sugar Rush | +14% attack speed | 12% |
| Brawny | +15% damage | 10% |
| Radical | +10% damage, +15% range | 5% |
| Mathematical | +25% damage | 4% |
| Algebraic | +8% damage, +22% attack speed | 2% |
| Hero of Ooo | +30% damage, +15% range, +10% attack speed | 0.8% |
| Oh My Glob | +200% damage, +20% range, +20% attack speed | 0.2% |
What Oh My Glob really costs
Average attempts are 1 / 0.002 = 500. Average is not a ceiling, and it is not a guarantee.
| Budget | Chance of at least one | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| 20 rerolls | 3.9% | A lottery ticket, not a plan |
| 100 rerolls | 18.1% | Most players still miss |
| 500 rerolls | 63.3% | Still a 36.7% miss rate |
If you are short on Juice, the Crystal count alone does not tell you whether the budget is spendable.
Radical or Algebraic on Jake
- Radical: +10% damage, +15% range.
- Algebraic: +8% damage, +22% attack speed.
The damage difference is two percentage points, not two percent. Whether attack speed improves Jake's skills is not tested; if it only affects basic attacks, Algebraic is worse than the table suggests. Keep Radical on a wave-clear unit unless you have measured the attack-speed effect yourself.
You already have Radical
Radical is a 5% result: +10% damage, +15% range. "Better" means better for the unit's job, not a lower drop rate.
| Unit job | Keep Radical? | Continue only if |
|---|---|---|
| Wave clear | Yes | You can fund 50+ rolls and are deliberately chasing Hero of Ooo or Oh My Glob; accept that you can lose Radical. |
| Boss killer | Yes, unless | You can fund 20+ rolls for Mathematical or better (5.0% per roll; 64.2% at 20) and the unit is core, not your only line clear. |
| Summoner | Yes | Attack-speed effect on summons is unmeasured; do not spend scarce crystals on an unmeasured gain. |
| Fewer than 20 crystals | Yes | Stop. The downside of losing Radical is larger than the remaining shot. |
From Radical, the chance per roll is:
- Mathematical or better (4% + 0.8% + 0.2% = 5.0%): 20 rolls = 64.2%, 50 rolls = 92.3%.
- Hero of Ooo or better (1.0%): 20 rolls = 18.2%, 50 rolls = 39.5%.
- Oh My Glob (0.2%): 20 rolls = 3.9%, 50 rolls = 9.5%.
These are modelled chances, not guarantees. If the unit is your only line clear, do not reroll to chase a boss trait. If the budget is gone, stop; there is no undo.
Stop by budget, not by hope
Set the budget before you start and decide what you will keep:
- If the unit already has Radical, use the table above; do not reroll just because a rarer trait exists.
- If the unit is a boss killer, damage is the only stat that matters. Brawny (+15% damage) can beat Radical for a boss; Mathematical (+25%) is the real target.
- If the unit is a summoner, attack speed may matter more than raw damage, but this is unmeasured. Keep Radical until it is tested.
- When the budget is gone, stop. Do not sell the unit's existing trait to fund another roll.
Stat grades are a separate system
Letter grades (up to Z) are rerolled through reconditioning, not through the trait menu. The two systems have different currencies and different results. A high letter grade does not protect the passive trait, and a good passive trait does not raise the letters.
Whether evolution preserves letter grades is unconfirmed. Do not spend Juice on a grade immediately before evolving.
Does VIP change the odds
The VIP pass is advertised to improve trait odds at Castle Lemongrab. The adjusted percentages are not published, so the table above is a base-rate reference, not a VIP estimate.
You rerolled away a good trait
There is no undo. Stop rerolling that unit and rebuild the budget before trying again; continuing immediately is how a good unit becomes an average one.
